Many cultures give Onyx to pregnant and laboring women. It is believed to encourage stamina, relieve pain and encourage a quick birth. After delivery mothers are encouraged to keep wearing it  to encourage  grounding and focus on the health and care of baby. Most importantly it is believed to protect the mother and child during this journey. Onyx holds a purpose of positivity and protection in every religion. I, creator of BirthingOnyx, want to be to mothers what Onyx has been to mankind. I want to protect their space, protect their experience.
